MY MISSION:
Our kids deserve real choices. It shouldn't take a college degree and a pile of debt just to get a decent job. We need strong public schools, expanded vocational and skilled trades programs, and partnerships with local employers so students can build good lives here at home. Welding, plumbing, caregiving, electrical are essential jobs, and they should be treated that way. We can build futures right here in the U.P. if we invest in our own. I plan to make this be our success story.
SUPPORT UNIONS AND REBUILD THE MIDDLE CLASS
Unions built the Upper Peninsula and they're still the best path to stable jobs and strong communities. I will always stand with labor to protect collective bargaining, fair wages, safe work environments, and reitrement security. I am going to fight like hell to protect the right to organize, increase wages, and bring back dignity to blue collar workers because that is what built the U.P.
TACKLE HOUSING COSTS BY REINING IN INFLATION AND BUILDING SMARTER
Affordable housing is critical to keeping our families and workforce here. I will push for solutions that reduce material costs, help streamline processes for builders, and prioritize local contractors. We can grow housing without handing taxpayer money to out-of-town developers or luxury projects. The American Dream of owning your own home needs to come back without taking our entire paychecks.
CONFRONT THE MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION CRISES WITH COMPASSION AND TRUTH
We have lost too many neighbors and friends to addiction, suicide, and despair. I will not ignore it. I will work to expand access to counseling, recovery services, and mental healthcare in every corner of the U.P., especially for our veterans, public schools, and rural clinics. This is not about shame, it is about saving lives. I am here to fight for the services that should already exist.
GROW RURAL JOBS THROUGH CLEAN, LOCAL ENERGY PROJECTS
Clean energy done right means new opportunity for the U.P., not just for the environment, but for union jobs in installation, maintenance, and manufacturing. I will support energy solutions that are rooted in our communities and keep energy dollars local. Wind, solar, home weatherization, and EV infrastructure are not just buzzwords, they are paychecks. Good ones!
The U.P. is full of natural green beauty, now it needs green energy to match it.
